Dedicated Funds

In addition to the General Fund, the Turku University Foundation has 80 Dedicated Funds. The capital of the funds has accumulated from donations from private individuals and companies. Dedicated funds have own rules. Donors can direct their donation to a specific field of research.

Ilmari Kataja fund (1974)

Rahasto on nimetty Sammon entisen toimitusjohtajan, kauppatieteen tohtori h.c., varatuomari Ilmari Katajan mukaan; rahaston varat ovat Turun Yliopiston valtiollistamisen yhteydessä siirtyneet Turun Yliopistosäätiölle.

Law fund (2002)

 

  • Rahasto on perustettu Turun Yliopistosäätiön hallituksen päätöksellä yhdistämällä entiset säätiön hallinnassa olevat Eurooppaoikeuden rahasto, Oikeustieteen rahasto sekä Vakuutus- ja sijoitusoikeuden rahasto. Rahastojen pääoma on saatu yritysten, yhteisöjen ja yksityishenkilöiden tekemistä lahjoituksista.
  • Rahaston tuotosta ja tarvittaessa myös pääomasta tuetaan Turun yliopistoa jakamalla apurahoja oikeustieteellisen opetuksen kehittämiseen ja oikeustieteelliseen tutkimukseen.

Agricolan juhlavuoden 2007 rahasto (2005)

  • Rahasto on perustettu niin julkisten kuin yksityistenkin yhteisöjen rahaston tarkoitukseen ohjaamista avustuksista ja lahjoituksista.
  • Rahaston tuotolla ja pääomalla tuetaan Mikael Agricolan 450-juhlavuoden (2007) valmistelua ja toteutusta. Rahastosta voidaan myöntää apurahoja Mikael Agricolan perinnön vaalimiseen ja Turun yliopistossa tehtävään Mikael Agricolaan liittyvään tutkimukseen.

  • Rahaston tuotolla tuetaan yhteistyökeskuksen Villa Tammekannin toimintaa; tuotolla ja pääomalla voidaan kattaa myös niitä menoja, joita yhteistyökeskuksen toiminnasta aiheutuu, tieteellistä toimintaa ja tapahtumia Villa Tammekannissa; vastikkeetonta tutkimustilaa voidaan myös myöntää määräajaksi.

Wilsonin Bengtskär rahasto (2003)

  • Rahasto on perustettu Wilson Marin Ky:n Turun Yliopistosäätiölle tekemällä lahjoituksella.
  • Rahaston tuottoa ja pääomaa käytetään Turun Yliopistosäätiön omistaman Bengtskärin majakan kunnossa pysymisen ja siihen liittyvien kulttuuriarvojen tukemiseen.
