Spring 2025 grants
APPLICATION PERIOD 3.-24.2.2025
Turku University Foundation announces the Spring 2025 Call for Applications for grants (€ 1 630 000). The grants are available for doctoral researchers, post doc -researchers, researches, teachers and research groups at the University of Turku. The application deadline is 24 February 2025. All applications are submitted via the online application service. Decisions will be made in the board meeting in April. Grants will be announced and distributed at the Snellman’s Day celebration May 12.
The online application service will open at the beginning of the application period. Applications must be submitted by Monday 24 February at the latest. More information is available in the online service. References are not required and there is no service for submitting recommendations.

Grants are awarded for the following purposes:
- doctoral dissertation grants
- post doc -grants (for research at the beginning of their post doc career)
- research grants (projects)
- travel grants for congress and research trips abroad
- Granö researcher residency grants (Villa Tammekann, Tartu, Estonia)
- grant for other purposes (e.g. study trips abroad, inviting international speakers)

Dedicated Funds distributing grants
Undergraduate students may apply grants from the following dedicated funds: Antti and Tytti Penttilä Fund, Kevo Fund, Oskari Yli-Viikari and Hanna Tuokko Fund, Timo Soikkanen Fund and Turku Ekotori Fund. See the criteria: Dedicated Funds distributing grants.
